João Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Brás's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After 6 played minutes Perrais FC got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Trindade. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Brás in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Perrais FC's João Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Brás in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Raul Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Manuel Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raul Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Guarda having to interfere. Rafael Mendes charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Mendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Formigal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Mendes to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Perrais FC's Vítor Fontes tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Hélder Trindade took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Eusébio Guarda to make any attempt to save it. Formigal's Manuel Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Perrais FC's João Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliveira Matias in the 40th minute of play. When Formigal's Armando Brás in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Perrais FC's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Brás to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Hélder Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perrais FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Trindade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Guarda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Formigal booed when Perrais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Brás didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Brás in the 78th minute of the match. Diamantino Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match.
