Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jorge Macedo made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, SC Louriceira's Augusto Paiva got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute Armando Brás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Eusébio Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Louriceira's Augusto Paiva got a free kick in the 15th minute. Rafael Mendes's late challenge caught a SC Louriceira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Mendes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Formigal's Rafael Mendes got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Sérgio Freitas fired a really elegant long shot, but Eusébio Guarda threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The audience was convinced that André Domingues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Santos was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. João Maia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eusébio Guarda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, one of SC Louriceira:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by João Maia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Formigal's Rafael Mendes got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute, Jorge Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Formigal's Oliveira Matias got a free kick in the 42nd minute. João Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Formigal were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 52 played minutes SC Louriceira got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Macedo. Oliveira Matias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Alfredo Santos managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Formigal's Armando Brás fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 56th minute André Domingues suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 56 minutes of play SC Louriceira's Basílio Araújo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. João Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Guarda having to interfere. If Armando Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Formigal got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Borba. Eusébio Guarda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Armando Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Brás could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Alfredo Santos made a huge save. SC Louriceira's Augusto Paiva got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Augusto Paiva off the ground. After 86 played minutes SC Louriceira got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Paiva. Formigal's Hélder Borba couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Louriceira. Rafael Mendes might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Louriceira's goalkeeper Alfredo Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
