Pedro Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 15 in the game by Paulo Fonseca from a close distance when the talented Sebastião Leite managed to make a qualified save. Numao's players were relieved. Duarte Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Melo having to interfere. Sebastião Leite made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Paulo Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. If Paulo Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Cristóvão Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilela FC's Bruno Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Carvalho in the 37th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Vilela FC's Pedro Lima slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastião Leite. That made the score 1-0 after 41 minutes of play. Paulo Fonseca scored 2-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastião Leite, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duarte Carvalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 59 minutes, Paulo Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vilela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristóvão Borba got free with Bruno Melo in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adelino Pedroso charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Pedroso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th minute, Adelino Pedroso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duarte Carvalho in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Melo saved Vilela FC from getting behind. In the 74th minute, Duarte Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Numao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 82 minutes into the match, Numao's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Lima came free, but Sebastião Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viriato Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viriato Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Vilela FC a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Paiva, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Numao's Sebastião Leite. 3-1. If Paulo Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 99thth minute of the game Paulo Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Numao's Sebastião Leite was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pedro Lima struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Sebastião Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vilela FC.
