An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Guarda in the 6th minute of play forced SC Chafariz's goalkeeper David Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Leal made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Cristiano Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. Cristiano Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. David Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Castro during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joaquim Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Aviz's goalkeeper Júlio Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Pedroso. David Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Guarda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Figueiredo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Júlio Leal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Rogério Coimbra fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Chafariz's protests and gave Rogério Coimbra a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes SC Chafariz got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Coimbra. Fernando Pinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for David Faro. SC Chafariz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Álvaro Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Júlio Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Faro having to interfere. The supporters of Aviz booed when SC Chafariz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SC Chafariz getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Paulo Pedroso hit a great ball. SC Chafariz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
