Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of SC Cortezaes booed when SC Soza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diogo Guarda's late challenge caught a SC Soza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogo Guarda helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes SC Cortezaes got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Guarda. 10 minutes into the match, SC Soza's Álvaro Queirós broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Cortezaes's Filipe Santarém slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joel Gueifão. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cortezaes's zone, Francisco Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Araújo came out of the goal and Francisco Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Ferreira in the 23rd minute of play forced SC Cortezaes's goalkeeper Mariano Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Filipe Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Joel Gueifão managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when SC Cortezaes's Filipe Santarém fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 29th match minute, SC Soza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Vale was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. SC Cortezaes's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Afonso Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Mariano Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Araújo came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Soza's Afonso Ferreira. But to his dismay, Afonso Ferreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filipe Santarém stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joel Gueifão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Santarém in the 55th minute of play. Diogo Guarda hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Carlos Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Mariano Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, SC Soza's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Vale came free, but Joel Gueifão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Cortezaes's goalkeeper Mariano Araújo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Afonso Ferreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Mariano Araújo made a huge save.
