The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Clareanes booed when Erra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Álvaro Bessa kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 13th play minute José Teixeira came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised João Neves. 1-0. António Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed António Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. António Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Clareanes booed when Erra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erra FC's Adelino Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Cabral in the 20th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Cristiano Viana put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Adelino Tavares. A collision led to Erra FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Raul Moura hit a great ball. Marco Melo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adelino Tavares. Erra FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Erra FC's José Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adelino Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raul Moura made a kick off. Heitor Dantas's late challenge caught a Erra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heitor Dantas helped the player get up and apologised. Erra FC's Viriato Almeida couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 57th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Clareanes. António Ferreira was shown his second yellow card after 62 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. António Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. José Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Neves having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Erra FC's Raul Moura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Neves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clareanes's goalkeeper João Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adelino Tavares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristiano Viana in the 86th minute. Raul Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Neves having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Erra FC fully deserved thier win.
