In the 4th match minute, SC Escadabouca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Américo Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Pedro Pires sent off a good shot on target. Américo Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Coelho in the 17th minute of the match. If David Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, David Fontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Amílcar Magalhães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diamantino Lima took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amílcar Magalhães. SC Escadabouca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rui Santarém kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Amílcar Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Araújo in the 44th minute of play. Américo Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Pedro Pires sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Rabaca were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Coelho made a kick off. With 56 minutes on the clock, Paulo Brito commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Rabaca:s Américo Nascimento showed great skill when he stopped Eusébio Neves:s penalty. Américo Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Coelho in the 62nd minute of the match. If Eusébio Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Rabaca defense, Vítor Gonçalves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Américo Nascimento. The Rabaca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Américo Nascimento should have stopped the shot. Pedro Pires might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Américo Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Pires ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Rabaca's zone, Pedro Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Nascimento came out of the goal and Pedro Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Afonso Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vítor Gonçalves charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vítor Gonçalves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd minute, Vítor Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When José Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Rabaca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Esteves couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, SC Escadabouca's Amílcar Magalhães got control of the ball when Afonso Araújo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Coelho in the 88th minute of play forced Rabaca's goalkeeper Américo Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Rabaca getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Rui Santarém hit a great ball.
