Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joaquim Faria kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes in the game, Joaquim Faria fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mário Ribeiro having to interfere. Artur Vazs short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Mário Ribeiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 17 minutes into the match, Fareja's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Faria came free, but Mário Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Jesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Figueiredo having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Joaquim Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penoucos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquim Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Abel Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Figueiredo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fareja's José Nunes shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 47th minute, João Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Gaspar Jesus made the kick off in the second half. 65 minutes into the game, Mariano Machado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fareja's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Penoucos the free kick. The supporters of Penoucos booed when Fareja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Vaz in the 66th minute of play forced Fareja's goalkeeper Mário Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Fareja's Carlos Soares got a free kick in the 67th minute. Penoucos's Albertino Freitas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mário Ribeiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Vaz in the 74th minute of play forced Fareja's goalkeeper Mário Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Penoucos's Joaquim Faria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mário Ribeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 84th minute Joaquim Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mário Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Artur Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 90 minutes, Joaquim Faria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penoucos and the Fareja players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Penoucos getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Joaquim Faria hit a great ball. Fareja's Mário Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Vaz in the 99th minute of play. Penoucos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
