SC Sago's Hugo Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Vaz in the 5th minute of play. Joaquim Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Melo having to interfere. José Figueiredo made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Fábio Lopes sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Figueiredo having to interfere. José Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Amaral in the 21st minute of play. Artur Vaz's late challenge caught a SC Sago's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Penoucos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Vaz to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 28 minutes, Artur Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penoucos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Vaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th match minute, SC Sago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Joaquim Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penoucos's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Paulo Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paulo Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Figueiredo having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Penoucos's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Amaral came free, but José Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Sago's Fábio Lopes. But to his dismay, Fábio Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 83rd minute, Américo Rodrigues collided with one of Penoucos's players - so bad that he fractured his nose. When Artur Vaz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. In the 88th minute, Abel Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Joaquim Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Sago were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Penoucos for a fine match.
