In the 4th minute, Rafael Domingues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Baptista was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Freigil's Abel Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Freigil from getting a goal against them. Darque FC's Rafael Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Freigil's Abel Baptista got control of the ball when Emanuel Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emanuel Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Freigil's goalkeeper Abel Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Barbosa. 31 minutes into the match, Darque FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Magalhães came free, but Duarte Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Freigil's Abel Baptista got control of the ball when Emanuel Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rafael Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Duarte Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freigil. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute Bernardo Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Leão having to interfere. Cristiano Magalhães came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Duarte Leão could save by the left post. When Cristiano Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Freigil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Magalhães couldn't finish the play. If Bernardo Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute of the match, Cristiano Magalhães got a very nice opportunity to score, but Duarte Leão was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Emanuel Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abel Baptista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Abel Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
