Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Heitor Torres made the kick off and thus started the match. Daniel Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Maia having to interfere. Daniel Delgado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rui Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Morais in the 12th minute of play forced Guaritas's goalkeeper Paulo Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Delgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Alexandre Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espariz's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Morais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Brito during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Guaritas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Brito to maneuver through the defense. Espariz's Afonso Moniz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Guaritas. Alexandre Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Matos having to interfere. Daniel Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Amaro hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Rui Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Guaritas's zone, Heitor Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Matos came out of the goal and Heitor Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Espariz's Rui Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Delgado in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th match minute, Espariz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Rocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 56thth minute of the game Daniel Delgado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espariz's Rui Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulo Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Daniel Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Rui Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Mariano Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espariz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guaritas the free kick. In the 68th minute, Mariano Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Dias took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rui Maia. Espariz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jorge Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee gave Guaritas a penalty, 77 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lúcio Ribeiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Espariz's Rui Maia. 1-0. When Heitor Torres came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Espariz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Torres couldn't finish the play. Afonso Moniz shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Delgado in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Maia saved Espariz from getting behind. Jorge Viana succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. 98 minutes into the match, Jorge Viana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Maia. Espariz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorge Viana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Espariz's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
