Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Eusébio Paiva made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the match, Artur Pereira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heitor Nunes. Capeludos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Artur Pereira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capeludos's goalkeeper Heitor Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eusébio Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Manuel Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Artur Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heitor Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusébio Paiva in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Carneiro saved Mazes from getting behind. Heitor Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Pinheiro in the 21st minute of play. Artur Pereira scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Heitor Nunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 24 minutes into the game, Filipe Tavares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mazes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capeludos the free kick. In the 24th minute, Filipe Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Eusébio Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Carneiro was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Mazes's Manuel Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Mazes from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Mota during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mazes booed when Capeludos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Paiva struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Manuel Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capeludos. Manuel Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Hugo Teixeira sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Paiva in the 42nd minute of the match. Humberto Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Nunes having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Artur Pereira to strike the kick off in the second half. Francisco Coimbra charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Coimbra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Capeludos booed when Mazes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Paiva in the 54th minute of play forced Mazes's goalkeeper Manuel Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th match minute, Capeludos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Mota to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by José Antunes from long distance, 57 minutes into the match, got Heitor Nunes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Capeludos's Hugo Teixeira suffered a concussion after 64 minutes and had to leave the field. In the 64th minute, one of Mazes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mazes. In the 69thth minute of the game Artur Pereira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capeludos's Heitor Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artur Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heitor Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Humberto Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Nunes having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Artur Pereira made a precise shot to the right of Heitor Nunes. Capeludos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Capeludos's Heitor Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Pereira in the 81st minute of play. Humberto Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Nunes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mazes's Luís Faria got a free kick in the 91st minute. Eusébio Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mazes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
