Pomarelhos's João Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Campos in the 4th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Pomarelhos's Henrique Brás sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Lisboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Lisboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Brás's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. The audience was convinced that Henrique Brás's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Lisboa was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 48th minute, Pedro Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to SC Pagade getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Pedro Dantas hit a great ball. João Lisboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Brás in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pomarelhos's goalkeeper João Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Américo Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Duarte Campos came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the SC Pagade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duarte Campos couldn't finish the play. When Augusto Neto fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Pagade's protests and gave Augusto Neto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Augusto Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pomarelhos's João Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Pomarelhos from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes into the game, one of Pomarelhos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pomarelhos:s João Garcia showed great skill when he stopped Vítor Gomes:s penalty. Henrique Brás struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. João Lisboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pomarelhos. In the 75th minute, Henrique Brás left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pomarelhos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After recieving a nice pass, Pomarelhos's Delfim Leiria tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Henrique Brás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Lisboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duarte Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Duarte Campos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st of the match, Américo Moniz tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but João Garcia got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 93rd minute of the match, Américo Moniz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Garcia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Américo Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pomarelhos fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Pagade had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
