The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alexandre Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When Tomás Neves fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deilao FC's protests and gave Tomás Neves a yellow card for diving instead. Tomás Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Xavier Abreu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Deilao FC's Alexandre Almeida. Alexandre Almeida was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Xavier Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 minutes of play, Bafueiras's Xavier Abreu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandre Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Xavier Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Bafueiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Abreu couldn't finish the play. Xavier Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th match minute, Bafueiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Leiria to maneuver through the defense. When David Leiria fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bafueiras's protests and gave David Leiria a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Bafueiras got a freekick which was hit by David Leiria. Fernando Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Pedroso to make the kick off. Xavier Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Rodrigues in the 54th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Fernando Pedroso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xavier Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Bruno Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Xavier Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Fernando Pedroso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xavier Mota was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Bruno Rodrigues took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xavier Mota. Xavier Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. If Xavier Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A beautiful save bye Bafueiras's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Bafueiras getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. David Leiria hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Deilao FC's Tomás Neves got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Bruno Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Bafueiras's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Pedroso came free, but Xavier Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
