Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lourenço Machado made the kick off which started today's match. Joaquim Gaspar's late challenge caught a SC Mendo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquim Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. Joaquim Gaspar hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Afonso Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lourenço Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. David Pedroso might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúcio Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Pedroso ran back to his position shaking his head. Afonso Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenço Machado in the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Joel Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fervencas's Afonso Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Fervencas from getting a goal against them. Filipe Borbas short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Afonso Vieira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bruno Leite hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. If Filipe Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when David Pedroso made the kick off in the second half. Filipe Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Afonso Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When David Pedroso came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Fervencas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Pedroso couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute Lourenço Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lourenço Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Vieira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lourenço Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Filipe Borba managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Mendo's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Borba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Fervencas's Bruno Leite got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute Lourenço Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Nascimento having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Viegas got free with Lúcio Nascimento in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Pedroso in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Nascimento saved SC Mendo from getting behind. 73 minutes into the match, Fervencas's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Borba came free, but Afonso Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Fernando Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Mendo's Lúcio Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Pedroso in the 77th minute of play. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Lourenço Machado sped through Fervencas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Afonso Vieira. 85 minutes into the game, one of Fervencas:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave SC Mendo a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Filipe Gomes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fervencas's Afonso Vieira. 2-1. Lúcio Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Pedroso in the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Filipe Borba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Mendo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Borba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 99 minutes into the match, Fervencas's David Pedroso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lúcio Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fervencas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Mendo.
