Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. André Carneiro started the match with the kick off. Hugo Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Carneiro in the 7th minute of play forced Mendo FC's goalkeeper Cândido Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Pinho struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Hugo Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mendo FC. 11 minutes into the match, Artur Pinho notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Barrocaria FC's Hugo Mota. Hugo Mota was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 14 minutes into the game, Artur Pinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mendo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrocaria FC the free kick. In the 14th minute, Artur Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Carneiro in the 16th minute of play forced Mendo FC's goalkeeper Cândido Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Fontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cândido Branco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. 23 minutes into the match, André Carneiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cândido Branco, 1-1. During the 27th minute of the match Artur Pinho completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Artur Pinho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 33 minutes into the match, Mendo FC's goalkeeper Cândido Branco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Carneiro. In the 36th minute Rafael Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Fontes in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cândido Branco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 41 minutes of play, Mendo FC's Rafael Rocha made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Mota was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gabriel Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Branco having to interfere. Gabriel Fontes in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cândido Branco, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After the first half Mendo FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Oliveira Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Hugo Mota made a huge save. Hugo Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveira Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, André Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barrocaria FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Cândido Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Amaral in the 62nd minute of the match. Cândido Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Carneiro in the 67th minute of play. Oliveira Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Rafael Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Mota having to interfere. Gabriel Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cândido Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mendo FC's David Paiva suffered a concussion after 75 minutes and had to leave the field. When André Leite fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrocaria FC's protests and gave André Leite a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Barrocaria FC got a freekick which was hit by André Leite. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Fontes during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th minute, Gabriel Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
