Regadio FC's Simão Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Regadio FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Beire FC booed when Regadio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Daniel Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bernardo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Francisco Domingues reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Simão Mendes. The goal made the score 1-0. Afonso Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Maia in the 35th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. Francisco Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Mendes having to interfere. Francisco Domingues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simão Mendes having to make a save. If Francisco Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Beire FC booed when Regadio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Fonseca in the 67th minute of play forced Regadio FC's goalkeeper Simão Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Regadio FC's zone, Gonçalo Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Mendes came out of the goal and Gonçalo Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Domingues struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Simão Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beire FC. After having played for 76 minutes, Gonçalo Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beire FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Francisco Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beire FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Domingues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Domingues hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. When Regadio FC's Daniel Maia in 84 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Afonso Pinheiro guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 86th minute, Francisco Domingues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beire FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Fonseca in the 97th minute of play forced Regadio FC's goalkeeper Simão Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Beire FC had played much better football throughout.
