In the 4th minute, Ricardo Anjos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Rogério Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Bernardo Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Adelino Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Trilho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Freitas couldn't finish the play. Chan's António Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Freitas in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Trilho FC booed when Chan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lourenço Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Adelino Freitas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fábio Guarda got free with António Pinho in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trilho FC's Joaquim Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Freitas in the 28th minute of play. After 28 minutes, Rogério Gueifão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trilho FC and the Chan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 29 minutes, Bernardo Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Joaquim Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Gomes's late challenge caught a Trilho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Chan's Emanuel Gomes got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute Rogério Gueifão managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Fábio Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. António Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. José Freitas hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, Trilho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Sá to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Anjos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Garcia charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Garcia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bernardo Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

If Fábio Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 59th minute Bernardo Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bernardo Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Coelho stood somewhat misplaced when Ricardo Anjos came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 65 minute. Bernardo Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Coelho having to interfere. If Ricardo Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fábio Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ricardo Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
