Emanuel Bessa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Pinho in the 13th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Amorim got free with Amílcar Henriques in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute, Nuno Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, SC Armeis's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Pinho came free, but Emanuel Bessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Amílcar Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31stth minute of the game Francisco Trindade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Montalvao's Amílcar Henriques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joaquim Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amílcar Henriques having to make a save. Amílcar Henriques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Trindade in the 39th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Francisco Trindade put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Amílcar Henriques. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Amorim got free with Amílcar Henriques in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to SC Montalvao getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Bernardo Antunes hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

A hard shot by Francisco Vieira from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Emanuel Bessa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a little luck, SC Armeis's Emanuel Bessa got control of the ball when Rafael Faro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francisco Trindade charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Trindade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Montalvao booed when SC Armeis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Trindade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute of the match, Adolfo Pinho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emanuel Bessa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 66th minute of the match SC Montalvao got a corner. SC Armeis's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rui Coimbra ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rafael Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 minutes, Bruno Delgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Armeis and the SC Montalvao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emanuel Bessa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Pinho in the 73rd minute of the match. Adolfo Pinhos short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Emanuel Bessa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 78 minutes into the game, Rui Coimbra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Montalvao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Armeis the free kick. After 78 played minutes SC Montalvao got a freekick which was hit by Rui Coimbra. In the 81stth minute of the game Francisco Trindade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Montalvao's Amílcar Henriques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rafael Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. SC Armeis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Montalvao the free kick. In the 88th match minute, SC Armeis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Santarém to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Armeis fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Montalvao had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
