Carlos Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. SC Niza's Fernando Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Abreu in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Carlos Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Delfim Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 25 minutes, Fernando Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Niza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Trindade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute Delfim Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Niza's Fernando Trindade got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delfim Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Nunes having to interfere. Fernando Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Andrade in the 44th minute of play. Eusébio Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fernando Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

With a little luck, SC Niza's Fernando Cunha got control of the ball when Eusébio Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Tavares couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the match, Carlos Abreu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernando Cunha, 0-1. In the 87th minute, David Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Nunes having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Pedrogam had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
