Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eduardo Paredes started the match with the kick off. After 7 played minutes Meijoadela FC got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Veiga. David Abreu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Paredes's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Jacinto Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Paredes in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Meijoadela FC's Jorge Viegas got a free kick in the 20th minute. After some careless play in the Meijoadela FC defense, Eduardo Paredes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Abreu. The Meijoadela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Abreu should have stopped the shot. Carlos Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Paredes in the 36th minute of play forced Meijoadela FC's goalkeeper David Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Borba hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. If Simão Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Santarém in the 42nd minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto Matos to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Meijoadela FC's goalkeeper David Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Santarém. After having played for 61 minutes, Simão Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meijoadela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Jacinto Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meijoadela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes in the game, Jacinto Matos dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The audience was convinced that Jacinto Matos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Monteiro was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Jacinto Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Carlos Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, Meijoadela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Esteves to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, SC Massadas's Gustavo Pinho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 80 minutes into the game, Jorge Viegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meijoadela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Massadas the free kick. The supporters of SC Massadas booed when Meijoadela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Viegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Meijoadela FC's goalkeeper David Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Santarém. In the 94th minute, David Santarém reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of David Abreu. The goal made the score 0-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Massadas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
