Augusto Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Matias having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Milreu's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Borges came free, but Rodrigo Matias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Milreu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Gomes to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodrigo Matias showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Alfeloas FC booed when Milreu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Aleixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Nuno Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Borges was the one to do the kick off. Augusto Borges might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Matias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Borges ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by António Gomes during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. António Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Rodrigo Matias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Borges went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Gonçalo Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Artur Aleixo's late challenge caught a Alfeloas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When António Gomes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. António Gomes hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Milreu succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Alfeloas FC had controlled the match.
