Vicente Lima took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Viana. Tomás Viana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Cruz in the 41st minute of play forced SC Marialva's goalkeeper Tomás Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nesperido FC's goalkeeper Vítor Matias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Cruz to strike the kick off in the second half. When Vicente Lima came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Nesperido FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Lima couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nesperido FC's goalkeeper Vítor Matias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Vicente Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Viana was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The SC Marialva players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
