In the 9th match minute, Casalmaninho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Neves to maneuver through the defense. When Vicente Lima came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Nesperido FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Lima couldn't finish the play. Vicente Lima took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albertino Moniz. Albertino Moniz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristóvão Amaro during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cristóvão Amaro hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Emílio Andrade from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Vítor Matias's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Vítor Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Henriques in the 28th minute of the match. Albertino Moniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With 64 minutes on the clock, João Domingues commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 64th minute, one of Casalmaninho:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Casalmaninho. When the match had been going on for 66 minutes, Nesperido FC's Vítor Antunes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Albertino Moniz. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Vicente Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nesperido FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Lima took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albertino Moniz. Albertino Moniz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After having played for 76 minutes, Vicente Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nesperido FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Lima's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Albertino Moniz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Vicente Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Albertino Moniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Nesperido FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nesperido FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
