Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the SC Gondiao defense, Cristiano Jesus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vasco Morais. The SC Gondiao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vasco Morais should have stopped the shot. In the 8th minute Mariano Pereira suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 8 minutes, Filipe Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maravila FC and the SC Gondiao players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes Maravila FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Oliveira. If José Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Eusébio Soares notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Maravila FC's Alexandre Borba. Alexandre Borba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amílcar Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amílcar Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Gondiao getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Amílcar Freitas hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, SC Gondiao's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Brito came free, but Vasco Morais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Adelino Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Gondiao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maravila FC the free kick. Adelino Borges hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Maravila FC's Joaquim Brito broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nuno Marques struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Vasco Morais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maravila FC. Eusébio Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Alexandre Borba made a huge save. Vasco Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Maravila FC's zone, Eusébio Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Borba came out of the goal and Eusébio Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Vasco Morais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Nuno Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Morais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filipe Oliveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vasco Morais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filipe Oliveira ran back to his position shaking his head.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusébio Soares to make the kick off. Nuno Marques struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Vasco Morais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maravila FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Ferro in the 61st minute of play forced Maravila FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Borba having to interfere. Vasco Morais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Oliveira Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maravila FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliveira Leão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vasco Morais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre Borba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusébio Soares went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Nuno Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
