In the 8th minute, Abegoaria FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Américo Faro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gonçalo Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Cabral in the 12th minute of the match. In the 17th minute of the match Carlos Faria shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gonçalo Fonseca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Augusto Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jorge Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes Murgido FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Anjos. Tomás Assis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Setúbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Setúbal in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Assis saved Abegoaria FC from getting behind. If Jorge Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murgido FC's Afonso Anjos got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 45 minutes, Lúcio Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abegoaria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lúcio Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Setúbal to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Fernandes during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Álvaro Fernandes hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Américo Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Abegoaria FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Américo Faro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Lúcio Cabral took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gonçalo Fonseca. Gonçalo Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Murgido FC fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Murgido FC's Américo Faro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Abegoaria FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
