Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ricardo Araújo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Eduardo Pedroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 8 played minutes Ponta got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Leão. After 9 played minutes, Paderne FC's André Vaz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jaime Moniz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paderne FC reached it. Ricardo Ferro scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Pedroso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ricardo Ferro might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Pedroso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Ferro ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaime Moniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jaime Moniz made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Carlos Miranda notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ponta's Jaime Moniz. Jaime Moniz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eduardo Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Araújo in the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Ricardo Ferro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ponta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Ferro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Ponta were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto Almeida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jaime Moniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Ferro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Eduardo Pedroso made a huge save. André Ferreira hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Ricardo Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Carlos Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Moniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Almeida in the 66th minute of play. Paderne FC's Jacinto Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 minutes of play, Ponta's Ricardo Ferro made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Pedroso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 77th minute Jacinto Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Moniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Pedroso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Amorim's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Jacinto Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Gonçalves during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Jacinto Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonso Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Afonso Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Jaime Moniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Miranda in the 93rd minute of the match. Carlos Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
