The supporters of Ponta booed when Abegoaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Monteiro in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Assis saved Abegoaria FC from getting behind. In the 23rd minute Nuno Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Abegoaria FC booed when Ponta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Nuno Monteiro suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardo Araújo made a kick off.
