Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Sotelo's Amadeu Magalhães started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gil Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Sebastião Aguiar made a huge save. Jorge Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10thth minute of the game Amadeu Magalhães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gemeos FC's Sebastião Aguiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Augusto Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Fernandes in the 13th minute of the match. Óscar Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Óscar Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th match minute, SC Sotelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Óscar Miranda to maneuver through the defense. After 17 played minutes, Gemeos FC's Afonso Delgado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Augusto Reis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gemeos FC reached it. Gemeos FC's Lúcio Pinho pulled a muscle in his back after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Óscar Miranda was shown his second yellow card after 18 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 21 minutes into the match, SC Sotelo's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Fernandes came free, but Augusto Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 minutes of play, Gemeos FC's Pedro Fernandes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augusto Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! SC Sotelo's Amadeu Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gemeos FC's Afonso Delgado got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Pedro Fernandes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Reis having to make a save. Gil Fonseca took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastião Aguiar. Sebastião Aguiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jorge Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The long shot by Basílio Monteiro in the 46th minute really tested Sebastião Aguiar's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Gil Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Fernandes to make the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of SC Sotelo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gemeos FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 57 minutes, Gemeos FC's Afonso Delgado got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Augusto Reis. Amadeu Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Pedro Fernandes made a precise shot to the right of Augusto Reis. SC Sotelo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Gil Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Sebastião Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gemeos FC's zone, Luís Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Aguiar came out of the goal and Luís Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gil Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sebastião Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SC Sotelo booed when Gemeos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Delgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Pedro Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amadeu Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Aguiar having to interfere. In the 102nd play minute Pedro Fernandes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Augusto Reis. 2-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gemeos FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
