After a rather tough play, SC Carnota's António Garcia got a free kick in the 5th minute. Vítor Pacheco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. José Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Gaspar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hélder Paredes's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Hélder Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Gaspar having to interfere. When Sambade's Hélder Paredes in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Carnota's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Paredes in the 30th minute of play forced SC Carnota's goalkeeper Bruno Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. José Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Coelho hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, SC Carnota's Gonçalo Barros broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Miguel Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Veiga having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hélder Paredes made a kick off. A collision led to SC Carnota getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Paulo Ribeiro hit a great ball. SC Carnota's Bruno Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Henriques in the 56th minute of play. Bruno Gaspar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusébio Ramos in the 62nd minute. Eusébio Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Bruno Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Eusébio Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sambade's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Gaspar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vítor Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Pacheco in the 70th minute of play forced Sambade's goalkeeper José Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, SC Carnota's Bruno Gaspar got control of the ball when Eusébio Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Oliveira in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Veiga saved Sambade from getting behind. After 86 played minutes Sambade got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Coelho. When Vítor Pacheco came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the SC Carnota fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Pacheco couldn't finish the play. José Veiga came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by SC Carnota's Miguel Oliveira. But to his dismay, Miguel Oliveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
