Jorge Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Araújo in the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Russo FC's zone, Alfredo Resende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristóvão Veiga came out of the goal and Alfredo Resende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. António Anjos's late challenge caught a Russo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Anjos helped the player get up and apologised. António Anjos kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Daniel Araújo made a precise shot to the right of Jorge Pinho. Matela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Resende stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
