SC Folgados's André Maia suffered a sore thigh after 6 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by António Cunha during the 6th minute. Abel Neto made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Luís Pacheco sent off a good shot on target. During the 45th minute of the match Álvaro Baptista completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Álvaro Baptista a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Álvaro Baptista hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
If Luís Pacheco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Folgados's goalkeeper Abel Neto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Folgados's António Lima got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered António Lima off the ground. The supporters of SC Salgueiros booed when SC Folgados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Luís Pacheco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Neto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. But to his dismay, Luís Pacheco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Folgados's goalkeeper Abel Neto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Artur Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
