Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eduardo Moreira took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cândido Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, SC Silvas's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Santos came free, but Afonso Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the match Hugo Paiva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Sousa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Eduardo Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the SC Silvas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Moreira couldn't finish the play. When Tiago Santos fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Machico's protests and gave Tiago Santos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Machico's Tiago Santos got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 17 minutes, Cândido Maia made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Machico's Simão Garcia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Xavier Silva was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Machico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Cândido Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduardo Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro Faro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sandro Faro came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Machico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro Faro couldn't finish the play. After the first half SC Silvas were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Sandro Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Machico's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandro Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Afonso Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Sandro Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Machico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute, Mariano Esteves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Machico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. António Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes, Machico's Vasco Faria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Afonso Sousa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Machico reached it. Afonso Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Faro in the 73rd minute of play. If Sandro Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Sousa having to interfere. Eduardo Moreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Cândido Maia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Machico supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Silvas's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Silvas.
