SC Outao's Gabriel Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Pousios's Diogo Matias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugo Leiria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gonçalo Borba was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gonçalo Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd match minute, SC Outao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Ferro to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute of the match José Leão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Leiria showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Francisco Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, SC Outao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Barros in the 42nd minute of play forced SC Outao's goalkeeper Hugo Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugo Leiria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Matias, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Carlos Costa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amadeu Viana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amadeu Viana during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The tension between the SC Outao and the Pousios players grew even worse after the yellow card. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Hugo Leiria successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Francisco Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Outao's Gabriel Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 99 minutes, José Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pousios's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
