Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Domingos Lopes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 2 minutes into the game, Joel Gomes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meixomil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Failde the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Meixomil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Gomes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Lopes in the 12th minute of play forced Meixomil's goalkeeper Luís Matias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rui Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulo Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Matias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Lopes in the 21st minute of play. Meixomil's Luís Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Lopes in the 37th minute of play. Gabriel Melo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. SC Failde's Rafael Santarém couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Meixomil. In the 44th minute, Amadeu Leiria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Paulo Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Rui Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Failde's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Matias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Paulo Fonseca took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Bento Tavares to make any attempt to save it. Rui Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Matias having to interfere. In the 71st minute Domingos Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Matias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bento Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Fonseca in the 75th minute of the match. Rui Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Matias having to interfere. If Paulo Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Failde's Bento Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Fonseca in the 87th minute of play. If António Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Paulo Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chants of Meixomil echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as SC Failde had held the ball for most of the match.
