A wasted opportunity for Cansado. After 13 played minutes SC Failde got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Gomes. Alfredo Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Bento Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vasco Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bento Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Failde's Bento Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Amorim in the 22nd minute of play. If Alfredo Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vasco Amorim in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bento Tavares saved SC Failde from getting behind. In the 34th minute of the match Américo Paredes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bento Tavares skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Cansado getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alexandre Lopes hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingos Lopes to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Domingos Lopes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cansado's Alberto Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rui Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of SC Failde booed when Cansado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredo Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Tavares having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Rui Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Failde's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bento Tavares was a little too slow when Alexandre Lopes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 0-1. SC Failde's Carlos Gomes got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Carlos Gomes off the ground. After a rather tough play, SC Failde's Carlos Gomes got a free kick in the 79th minute. Alfredo Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cansado getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Rogério Amaral hit a great ball. In the 88th minute Rui Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
