An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Mota in the 10th minute of play forced Romacho's goalkeeper Alfredo Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Andrezes FC's Emanuel Mota in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Romacho's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Romacho booed when Andrezes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Andrezes FC defense, Carlos Magalhães kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Pinheiro. The Andrezes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. Paulo Viegas's late challenge caught a Romacho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Viegas helped the player get up and apologised. António Gomes, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Romacho's Gonçalo Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Magalhães in the 38th minute of play forced Andrezes FC's goalkeeper Mariano Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Andrezes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Moura came free, but Mariano Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 49th minute Gonçalo Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonçalo Moura was the one to do the kick off. Alfredo Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Lima in the 94th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the game, Andrezes FC's Emanuel Mota nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Romacho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
