In the 7th match minute, Barras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Santarém to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Bernardo Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Amaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Brás in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Viloes FC's Luís Barros got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience was convinced that João Dantas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaime Amorim was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vicente Carneiro was the one to do the kick off. Jaime Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Vicente Carneiro came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Barras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Carneiro couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Viloes FC.
