Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rui Nascimento took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Afonso Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gibraltar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Cabral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Gibraltar's Henrique Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Nascimento in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Rui Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Pipeira's Inácio Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rui Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Henrique Vaz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Pipeira. Afonso Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Luís Guerreiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Carlos Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gibraltar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Setúbal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Setúbal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Luís Guerreiro made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in SC Gibraltar's zone, Inácio Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Vaz came out of the goal and Inácio Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeu Leão hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute of the match Catarino Brás sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrique Vaz skillfully saved the ball. When Rui Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the SC Pipeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Nascimento couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, Inácio Torres made a precise shot to the right of Henrique Vaz. SC Gibraltar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Luís Guerreiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Cabral in the 43rd minute. Afonso Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Luís Guerreiro made a huge save.

A collision led to SC Pipeira getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bruno Marques hit a great ball. After 55 minutes, Fábio Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Pipeira and the SC Gibraltar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Pipeira's Fábio Rocha got a free kick in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Cabral in the 57th minute of play forced SC Pipeira's goalkeeper Luís Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When SC Gibraltar's Afonso Cabral in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Afonso Cabral might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Guerreiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afonso Cabral ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th minute, Carlos Setúbal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Guerreiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Rui Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrique Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Gibraltar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Catarino Brás shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After having played for 96 minutes, Carlos Setúbal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gibraltar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Setúbal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The SC Pipeira players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
