Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rui Nascimento started the match with the kick off. Inácio Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SC Pipeira booed when Espartosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game Catarino Brás kicked a great long shot which passed Daniel Fontes straight ahead into the goal, Result 1-0. One couldn't see Catarino Brás behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. Rui Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Espartosa's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Torres came free, but Daniel Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Guerreiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sérgio Cruz went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute, Tiago Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Pipeira's Catarino Brás couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Espartosa. Daniel Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Nascimento in the 34th minute of the match. Daniel Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Lourenço Teixeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Guerreiro. SC Pipeira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lourenço Teixeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sérgio Cruz made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lourenço Teixeira got free with Luís Guerreiro in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Espartosa's Sérgio Cruz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luís Guerreiro. That made the score 1-3 after 67 minutes of play. Luís Guerreiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lourenço Teixeira in the 75th minute of the match. Duarte Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duarte Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Duarte Baptista hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. A collision led to SC Pipeira getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Fernando Garcia hit a great ball. Daniel Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Torres in the 81st minute of the match. Duarte Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Daniel Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Pipeira supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Espartosa's performance. The match ended with a win for Espartosa.
