The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bento Pintos short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Mariano Assunção to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Manuel Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Assunção was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. The supporters of Espindelo booed when Baroso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baroso FC's goalkeeper Mariano Assunção, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute of the match, Manuel Freitas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mariano Assunção saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Amadeu Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Espindelo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diogo Delgado should have stopped the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vítor Anjos to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Vítor Anjos rounded Espindelo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. A collision led to Baroso FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. João Gaspar hit a great ball. Bento Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Assunção having to interfere. Amadeu Dias took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diogo Delgado. Espindelo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bento Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Amadeu Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diogo Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Anjos in the 95th minute of the match. The Espindelo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Baroso FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
