After 3 played minutes Padeirinha got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Cruz. Francisco Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Delfim Vaz made a huge save. If Francisco Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Padeirinha's goalkeeper Delfim Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Manuel Cruz fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Padeirinha's protests and gave Manuel Cruz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Padeirinha's Manuel Cruz got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, José Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delfim Vaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Raul Dantas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bento Coelho's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Fernando Faro's late challenge caught a Padeirinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Faro helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes SC Carnota got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Faro. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Bento Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Padeirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raul Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute Bento Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Fernando Freitas sped through SC Carnota's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raul Dantas. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Freitas to strike the kick off in the second half. Padeirinha's Delfim Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Faro in the 51st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Bento Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Padeirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raul Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, José Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristiano Fernandes during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Carnota's Cristiano Fernandes got a free kick in the 65th minute. Fernando Faro was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 68th minute, Fernando Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute of the match Alexandre Ribeiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raul Dantas skillfully saved the ball. When Joel Leal fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Carnota's protests and gave Joel Leal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Padeirinha booed when SC Carnota was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bento Coelho might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raul Dantas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bento Coelho ran back to his position shaking his head. Raul Dantas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bento Coelho in the 85th minute. When Bento Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Padeirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bento Coelho couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, SC Carnota's Américo Assunção got a free kick in the 95th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
