Jaime Morais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Ramos in the 5th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Chaim FC got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Cunha. Gustavo Tavares hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Paulo Veiga was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mário Ramos. In the 19th minute, Eduardo Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match Daniel Correia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaime Morais showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Freixoeiro's Adolfo Ferreira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo Veiga. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. Mário Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gonçalo Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaime Morais was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Basílio Amaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 46th minute of the match Eduardo Pires completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eduardo Pires a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Eduardo Pires hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonçalo Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Basílio Amaro struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Paulo Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freixoeiro. Paulo Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio Amaro in the 87th minute of the match. Jorge Guarda charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
