Jaime Santarém struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Alberto Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Ciboes. Rui Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Limas short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Ricardo Moura to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alberto Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Ciboes's Jaime Santarém. But to his dismay, Jaime Santarém quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Ciboes's goalkeeper Ricardo Moura, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, Jaime Santarém cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Alberto Rodrigues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ricardo Moura was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alexandre Dantas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 39 minute of play. Alberto Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Domingues in the 43rd minute of the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Rui Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espalhafatos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Lima in the 58th minute of play forced SC Ciboes's goalkeeper Ricardo Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Miguel Lima made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Moura. SC Ciboes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. 65 minutes into the game, Espalhafatos FC's Rui Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Moura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. 71 minutes into the match, SC Ciboes's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Lima came free, but Ricardo Moura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rui Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ricardo Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Alberto Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Paulo Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Domingues in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Rodrigues saved Espalhafatos FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ciboes's zone, Miguel Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Moura came out of the goal and Miguel Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 played minutes Espalhafatos FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Dantas. In the 93rd minute Rui Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Ciboes's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
