The referee ignored SC Perozinho's protests and gave Manuel Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. Manuel Esteves hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The Curvos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Carlos Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Pinheiro in the 13th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes Curvos got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Pinheiro. Mariano Baptista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rodrigo Guarda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertino Faro was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Basílio Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. A very good chance. If Vítor Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
