The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Franzilhal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sambada:s goal. The referee gave Sambada a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jorge Amorim, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Franzilhal's Jorge Rocha. 0-1. Artur Monteiro struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Cristóvão Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Franzilhal. Duarte Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 31 played minutes Franzilhal got a freekick which was hit by Artur Monteiro. In the 32nd minute of the match Jorge Amorim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Rocha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Franzilhal's Gabriel Nunes got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Jorge Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílcar Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Duarte Andrade who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Cristóvão Torres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Amílcar Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Franzilhal's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Campos came free, but Jorge Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emílio Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Torres having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duarte Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. The Franzilhal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Rocha should have stopped the shot. Adelino Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Rocha having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Amílcar Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Duarte Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Franzilhal's supporters rose to their feet, but Duarte Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristóvão Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Duarte Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristóvão Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. A collision led to Sambada getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Adelino Mota hit a great ball. Franzilhal's Jorge Rocha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Franzilhal from getting a goal against them. The Sambada supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sambada would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
