Lúcio Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Esteves having to interfere. Gabriel Dias struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Abel Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saborido. Pedro Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Almeida in the 20th minute of play. Jorge Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Pedro Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Matos struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute, Jorge Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Saborido's Rui Morais suffered a sore thigh after 38 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 38 minutes, Carlos Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Lorvao and the Saborido players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Dias to make the kick off. Miguel Amaro was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 73rd match minute, Saborido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Amaro to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Gaspar Matos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Lorvao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Miguel Campos charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With an all-out effort, SC Lorvao's Pedro Dias threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jorge Almeida, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lúcio Delgado hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Saborido supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Lorvao's performance.
