When João Santarém fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Casalinhos FC's protests and gave João Santarém a yellow card for diving instead. João Santarém hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. SC Pelhaes's Oliveira Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliveira Nogueira took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xavier Vale. Xavier Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Xavier Vale was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Basílio Rodrigues capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Basílio Rodrigues really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 28 minutes into the game, Basílio Rodrigues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Xavier Vale. Basílio Rodrigues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Basílio Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xavier Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Oliveira Nogueira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Casalinhos FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Basílio Rodrigues scored to the left of an out of position Xavier Vale, making the score, 4-0. 45 minutes into the match, Casalinhos FC's goalkeeper Xavier Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oliveira Nogueira. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Xavier Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eusébio Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Casalinhos FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Afonso Freitas hit a great ball. Basílio Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Eusébio Coelho sped through SC Pelhaes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bento Machado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Rodrigues in the 76th minute of play forced Casalinhos FC's goalkeeper Xavier Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basílio Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Xavier Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee showed Armindo Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th match minute, Casalinhos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armindo Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Oliveira Nogueira spun around in front of the goal 95 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Casalinhos FC's goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC Pelhaes fully deserved thier win.
