An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Carneiro in the 13th minute of play forced SC Carnapata's goalkeeper Carlos Aleixo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Cervaes FC's goalkeeper Filipe Cardoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Fernandes. Carlos Aleixo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Carneiro in the 19th minute of the match. Ricardo Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Carlos Aleixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Cervaes FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Vale. After 27 played minutes SC Carnapata got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Fernandes. Filipe Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Fernandes in the 29th minute of play. Alberto Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Cardoso having to interfere. If Emílio Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cervaes FC's goalkeeper Filipe Cardoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armindo Brás to make the kick off. Lucas Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Moniz during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of SC Carnapata:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cervaes FC:s goal. When Armindo Brás came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the SC Carnapata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armindo Brás couldn't finish the play. When Pedro Simões fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cervaes FC's protests and gave Pedro Simões a yellow card for diving instead. When SC Carnapata's Armindo Brás in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pedro Costa helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Ricardo Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cervaes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Aleixo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gonçalo Anjos fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Carnapata's protests and gave Gonçalo Anjos a yellow card for diving instead. Gonçalo Anjos hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Filipe Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armindo Brás in the 96th minute of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cervaes FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
