Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorge Rodrigues started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Garcia in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiago Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When SC Fornalhas's Humberto Garcia in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sérgio Dantas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiago Cruz having to make a save. If Sérgio Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Artur Santos fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Fornalhas's protests and gave Artur Santos a yellow card for diving instead. Artur Santos hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Américo Brás showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Alentejo's goalkeeper Tiago Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes into the game, Jorge Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alentejo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Fornalhas the free kick. Jorge Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Sérgio Dantas scored 0-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiago Cruz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Garcia in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Cruz saved Alentejo from getting behind. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Américo Brás came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Alentejo's Jorge Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Jorge Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 61st minute of the match, Sérgio Dantas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tiago Cruz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sérgio Dantas got free with Tiago Cruz in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sérgio Dantas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiago Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Cristóvão Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alentejo's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóvão Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Américo Brás breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tiago Cruz made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Sérgio Dantas sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélder Borba during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 76 minutes into the game, SC Fornalhas's Sérgio Dantas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiago Cruz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Humberto Garcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiago Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play.
